  • All relevant imaging e.g. x-ray, MRI/CT scan, ultrasound
  • Health care cards – Medicare, private health insurance, pension, Veterans’ Affairs
  • Other relevant correspondence and test results

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be easily adjusted or removed.

We are located opposite Jackson Avenue, directly opposite St Luke’s Church.

iMed radiology is on the ground floor of our building. 

There is no parking onsite, however there is limited street parking or Westfield offers 3 hours free parking.

Kogarah

If you’re driving, entry to the carpark is via South Street, under St George Private Hospital. There are several parking lots available on South Street, Hogben Street, and Derby Street.

Parking is also available on unmetered spots on the street for 2 hours.

Appointment cancellations

We understand that at times appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please do so by phoning the practice where one of our administration staff will be more than happy to assist you.
Please allow at least 72 hours notice so that we can offer your spot to the patients on our consultation waiting list. It is preferred that cancellations are not emailed to the practice. Booking deposit payments are non-refundable/non-transferrable within 72 hours of the appointment time.
This practice reserves the right to change its policy regarding cancellations without notice.

Workcover and insurance

Our practice accepts most private health insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional), HICAPS and PPO Out-of-network. We are not part of any managed care network.
Our staff will prepare all the necessary forms for your medical benefits. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated.
If requested, our staff can prepare a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company so that you will know what your benefits are.
The fees charged for our services rendered to those who are insured are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly while others delay payment for several months.

NO GAP orthopaedic surgery

Dr Rimmer is proud to be a Sydney based orthopaedic surgeon offering NO GAP to all his patients with private health insurance who require surgery. This ensures great value and savings to patients who pay a substantial amount to insure themselves and their families.

Please note, other fees may occur as part of your surgery and not controlled by Dr Rimmer. These include fees by:

  1. The anaesthetist
  2. The surgical assistant
  3. The hospital
  4. The prosthesis
  5. Post-operative physiotherapy / hydrotherapy

Fast-tracked investigations, hospital admission and surgery booking can be organised by our staff if needed.
